I was singing at Canuck Place, a children’s hospice. The mother returned to our room from dinner and said she was sad she had missed me sing “I Am”. I told her I didn’t have a song so titled, and she told us she had heard me singing it from the stairwell. She said “It must have been Jesus singing in your voice”. I went home and asked Jesus what kind of song he sang over a mother whose teenage son was battling terminal cancer. This is what I heard:
